This is a look I sported out for my sister's birthday right after I got my hair cut. Right now I am loving curling my hair much more than straightening it. I do however find curling it much more work since its shorter. Thinking of growing it out again. Does anyone else out there have this horrible hair indecisiveness that I suffer greatly from? I am never happy when it comes to my hair !

A lil' bit o' leopard

Thanks to my sister for modelling it for me

I am not usually a purse person, I am more a boot person actually. But when I saw this purse I gasped. First of all, anything Steve Madden I love! Second, look at that leopard print ! The leopard portion is that weird furry material that is going around lately.
and often in shades, I love to have a statement purse and in fact the majority of my purses are actually blue.
Anywho, I think this purse is a perfect statement item for fall.

What purse are you loving this fall ?

The Chop

For most of my life I have sported hair somewhere around the bob length. So for the past two or so years of my life I have been growing it out for what I claim is the "last time". My end goal was to donate it when it was long enough. Partway into my growing process suddenly short hair exploded and I was seeing it all around me (right when I had finally decided to grow mine, I was pissed). So as my hair became increasingly hard to brush (a half hour to brush your hair is insane right?) and increasingly unmanageable (it was basically dreadlocks), I decided to go for the chop. And let me tell ya, I do not regret it.

\
The reason I had even started growing my hair was because I wanted to donate it, so I chopped off about 10 inches to donate to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths.

Spice Up Your Life | Bath and Body Works

I am normally not one of those people that buys candles at Bath and Body Works (I am a Yankee Candle fan), but when I strolled into Bath and Body works to smell Leaves (which I despised), I saw a counter with some very odd scents. There was Banana Nutmeg Bread Pudding, Cayenne Caramel, Vanilla Chai, Blackberry Bramble Tea and WASABI APPLE. First of all, I love the (fake) scent of apples. And who can resist smelling a candle with such an odd flavour.
Upon smelling it I was surprised by how much I liked it. It essentailly smells like a sour green apple with a slight kick from the wasabi. Nothing too strong or drastic.
As I type this it is burning away in my room. I LOVE !

What is your favourite Bath and Body Works scent at the moment?

The Makeup Addict Tag

1. Which product do you still keep buying more of despite having plenty in your collection?
I would have to say lipstick. I am a strong believer in the fact that you can never have too many lipsticks. Ten red lipsticks? No not too many. Ten nude-pink lipsticks? Nope. Not too many. There is no such thing !!

2. What's the one product you can't live without?
Mascara. If I could choose only one makeup item to use for the rest of my life it would be mascara (if we’re not counting concealor cuz thats just boring). If you go completely makeupless and then throw on mascara you automatically look like a human who has actually put some time into their appearance. Specifically I love Covergirl Lashblast and L’Oreal Miss Manga.

3. Favourite makeup brand?
I would probably say MAC because I adore their lipsticks but then also Urban Decay because I love all of their eyeshadows. On the whole, I mainly stick to drugstore brands like L’Oreal, Rimmel, Maybelline and Revlon.

.

4. How big is your makeup collection?
I would say although I am definitely a makeup addict, I really do not have that much makeup. All my products can fit in this little metal container. My lipstick collection is where it gets truly ridiculous.

5. And how do you store it?
I store my lipsticks in old candle jars. As for the rest of the makeup, I keep it in this metal container with smaller containers inside to hold brushes or pencils.

6. How many items of makeup have you got in your handbag at the moment?
At any given moment I will probably only have maximum two products in there, and most likely they will be lip products or a translucent powder maybe.

7. If you could raid another blogger's stash, who would it be?
Probably Estee of EssieButton, Suzie of HelloOctober or Anna of ViviannaDoesMakeup. They all have great taste and some very luxurious products.

8. How long does your usual makeup routine take and how many products do you use?
On an everyday basis I probably take under 3 minutes and use 3-6 products (concealor, mascara, powder and maybe eyeliner, bronzer and blush). On very a fancy day I will take like 10 minutes and use around 7 (concealor, bronzer, blush, mascara, lippie, eyeliner, brow product). If I have an hour though, I can take up that whole hour no problem.

9. Have you ever bought makeup knowing you wouldn't use it.
I have probably bought some that deep down I know I wouldn’t use that much, but none that I absolutely knew I would never use. Especially with expensive items, I only buy if I know it has a place in my makeup routine.

10. Tag a few other makeup addicts to do the tag!

Everyone! I want to hear about your addiction!

Go-to Brands

 via Pinterest

I have been on a kick lately where I really pay attention to my clothes and what I buy or need. It got me thinking about my go-to brands.Everyone has those certain clothing items that they always buy at a certain store. I definitely have those. So here are the brands that I trust for certain pieces...

Tops - Tops are something that I don't really stick to a specific brand for. Mine are a mix of Forever21, Winners, H&M and Aerie.

Jeans - If you look through my (20ish *gasp* I know that's a lot) jeans, they are almost purely from American Eagle or Parasuco. Quite a few of my American Eagle jeans were not actually found at American Eagle but rather Value Village (a second-hand store). As well, I exclusively buy my Parasuco jeans at Winners (they sell for a lot less there). I also have the odd Silver pair (purchased at Winners as well).

Trendy Pieces - For trendy pieces that I don't want to spend tons of money on (incase the trend doesn't last long) I look to Forever21 or H&M. They often have decent prices and carry the latest trends.

Costume Jewelry - For big or trendy jewelry I usually find these pieces at Forever21 or The Bay. Forever21 doesn't have the best quality jewelry, which is why I buy trendy or costume jewelry there. The Bay carries some higher quality pieces and I find a lot of gorgeous statement jewelry there.

Loungewear -  AKA nice pajamas. I find a lot of my loungewear at Aerie and the odd piece at Forever21 (can you tell I love that store).

Bras/Underwear - I basically exclusively wear these bras from Lasenza (my body is very picky about which bras it will allow). For my lighter bras I usually find those at Aerie (ex. light sports bras or bralettes). As for underwear, my full undies are always Aerie and my thongs are Lasenza (is this TMI ? sorry...).

Purses - This is such an easy to think of category for me. The only purses in my closet are either from Winners or Roots. Winners carries an amazing array of bags. Roots just has the best bags. Although they are a bit more expensive, they are such high quality and are so sturdy that my mom is still using some that are 10+ years old. That is serious longevity, so it is definitely an investment.

I would love to hear your go to brands for specific pieces !
